What happened

On November 5, 2026, Confie announced it has acquired the insurance operations of TDECU (Texas Dow Employees Credit Union), one of the largest credit unions in Texas. TDECU Insurance Agency, which sells auto, home, renters, life and health coverage, will be folded into InsureOne, Confie's standard and preferred personal lines agency, and Confie has signed a long-term service agreement to keep serving the credit union's 400,000-plus members.

The deal extends Confie's credit union partnership strategy into Texas. The 34 employees behind TDECU's insurance business will move into InsureOne's credit union division, giving members continuity while adding access to Confie's wider carrier relationships, technology and small commercial coverage. Shifting a long-standing credit union agency onto the InsureOne name means members will need clear communication about the change and a reason to stay and buy more.
